A bizarre new media narrative involving President Donald Trump is gaining attention after yet another high-profile professional athlete suffered a serious injury.
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart is expected to undergo knee surgery that will end his 2026 NFL season after he was injured during Monday night’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Reports indicate Dart suffered damage to his MCL and meniscus, although his ACL remained intact.
The injury itself was enough to disappoint Giants fans.
But it also revived an unusual question being raised in sports media: Why have so many athletes who have recently crossed paths with Trump subsequently suffered injuries?
