Obama Comes Out Swinging At Trump

Yikes! Obama is heated.

In a strongly worded social media post, former President Barack Obama reignited the immigration debate by criticizing President Trump’s efforts to secure the southern border and enforce existing immigration laws.

The post marked the 13th anniversary of DACA—the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program—which Obama implemented during his presidency to provide temporary legal status for illegal immigrants who entered the U.S. as minors. Today, the policy remains controversial, with over 530,000 active DACA recipients as of December.

Obama claimed these so-called “Dreamers” are “being demonized and treated as enemies,” adding that DACA represents how America can be both “a nation of immigrants and a nation of laws.” But for many Americans, especially seniors and working-class families, this message rings hollow amid rising concerns over border security, crime, and strained social services.

Trump Defends Law and Order Amid ICE Raids

Obama’s remarks came just days after Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) conducted several high-profile workplace raids targeting industries suspected of employing illegal immigrants. These raids resulted in multiple arrests and stunned business owners across the country.

In response, far-left protestors flooded the streets of Los Angeles. What began as demonstrations quickly escalated into unrest and violence. President Trump acted swiftly, deploying the National Guard to restore public safety—despite criticism from California Governor Gavin Newsom and other Democrat leaders who oppose strong border enforcement.

Following the disturbances, the Trump administration announced a temporary pause in ICE operations targeting select industries, citing concerns about workforce shortages and the difficulty of replacing long-time employees. Still, Trump made clear his administration remains fully committed to enforcing immigration law and prioritizing American workers.

Obama Pushes Open-Borders Agenda

In his post, Obama reiterated support for DACA, claiming the program helps recipients “stop living in fear” and “live freely” in the United States. He urged the nation to fix its “broken immigration system” by showing “dignity and respect” to illegal immigrants.

Critics argue Obama’s immigration legacy contributed to the current crisis at the border—where record numbers of illegal crossings, fentanyl smuggling, and human trafficking remain serious threats to national security.

Under President Trump’s leadership, however, immigration enforcement has returned to the forefront. His administration has emphasized law and order, strong border control, and protecting American jobs—a sharp contrast to the leniency of prior Democrat policies.
