Media Launches New Attack On Trump Admin

The media refuses to stop attacking Trump and his staff.

The Wall Street Journal editorial board is pushing back against Vice President JD Vance after his bold remarks defending American students and questioning the reliance on foreign workers in U.S. higher education. Vance’s comments, made during a recent Newsmax interview, come as President Trump continues his America First policies—this time targeting elite universities and the controversial foreign student visa pipeline.

Vance didn’t hold back. “I reject the idea that Americans lack the talent to innovate and succeed,” he told host Greg Kelly. “We don’t need to import a professional class to replace our own people. We should be investing in American talent first.”

The Wall Street Journal, however, labeled Vance’s argument a “false choice,” claiming that restricting foreign students could hurt the country’s ability to compete in science, technology, and engineering. The editorial pointed to statistics showing that only 13% of U.S. college graduates are earning degrees in STEM fields—suggesting a supposed need for imported talent.

But Vice President Vance and the Trump administration are focused on a different set of numbers: declining opportunity for American students, inflated tuition costs, and universities more concerned with social agendas than national interest.

President Trump acted decisively this week, issuing a proclamation restricting foreign student visas—beginning with Harvard University. “Attending America’s top institutions is not a global entitlement,” Trump stated. “It is a privilege granted by our government, based on merit, alignment with national values, and the needs of our citizens.”

The administration’s action is part of a broader push to clean up academia. Over the past several months, the White House has taken aim at elite colleges for enabling antisemitic behavior on campus and promoting divisive gender policies, including allowing biological males to compete in women’s sports.

Critics from the left claim the administration is targeting all forms of legal immigration, but conservatives see the policy as long overdue. “We’re not shutting the door,” one Trump advisor said. “We’re simply opening the front of the line to Americans for once.”

As culture wars heat up and universities become ground zero in America’s political battle, the Trump administration is once again signaling that it’s not afraid to take on entrenched elites—especially when it comes to protecting opportunity for U.S. citizens.
