AOC shouldn’t be talking about the bible.

In a statement to the press on Friday, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a Democratic Representative from New York, expressed her opinion on Florida’s Republican Governor, Ron DeSantis. Ocasio-Cortez suggested that DeSantis should familiarize himself with the teachings of the Bible. The comment came after DeSantis defended Daniel Penny, a 24-year-old Marine veteran who is currently being charged with manslaughter for the unfortunate incident involving the chokehold death of Jordan Neely on a subway on May 1st.

According to the Newsmax, Jordan Neely, a 30-year-old homeless street performer, was involved in an incident on an F train where he was reportedly behaving in a “hostile and erratic manner.” As a result, Daniel Penny and two others took measures to restrain him.

Tragically, due to the prolonged duration of the chokehold administered by Daniel Penny, Jordan Neely lost his life. This incident has led to widespread protests in the city, with many expressing their outrage over Neely’s death.

Based on information from the Times, Daniel Penny has been charged with manslaughter in connection with the death of Jordan Neely. It has been reported that Penny has managed to raise over $2.6 million to support his legal defense.

According to the Times, the investigation into the incident has been carried out in collaboration with the office of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

As per the New York Post, earlier in the week, Governor Ron DeSantis referred to Daniel Penny as a “Good Samaritan” for his actions in protecting others on the train.

Governor Ron DeSantis, who is a veteran himself, stated, “Vets look out for other vets. What we can’t have in our society is inmates running the asylum.”

In recognition of the other passengers feeling threatened by Jordan Neely’s behavior, Governor Ron DeSantis praised Daniel Penny for “doing the right thing” in the train car. DeSantis commended Penny for taking action based on the accounts of the other passengers.

During an interaction with reporters that took place after Jordan Neely’s funeral, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who previously referred to Neely’s death as “a public murder” shortly after the incident, made a comment regarding Governor Ron DeSantis. The exchange, captured on video and shared on Twitter, involved Ocasio-Cortez suggesting that DeSantis “should read a Bible” in relation to the comparison made with the Good Samaritan Bible story.
