Hope she’s happy now…
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez can mark this as a win for the left now that she forced Republican Rep. Ted Yoho to step down from the board of a Christian organization committed to ending international hunger after a recent spat.
According to the Washington Examiner, Rep. Yoho was forced to resign after AOC claimed that he called her a “f—ing b-tch,” an accusation that Yoho claims he did not say.
Sadly, for the left an unproven accusation is all it takes.
Bread for the World, the Christian organization that Yoho resigned from, accepted his resignation saying, “as an action that reaffirms our commitment to coming alongside women and people of color, nationally and globally, as they continue to lead us to a more racially inclusive and equitable world.” The organization then thanked Yoho for his hard work in “expanding opportunity for men, women, and children around the world,” according to the Associated Press.
.@AOC calls out Rep. Yoho: “I could not allow my nieces, I could not allow the little girls I go home to, I could not allow victims of verbal abuse and worse to see that, to see that excuse and to see our Congress accept it as legitimate and accept it as an apology.” pic.twitter.com/lmhBtXRbJZ
