This was so cringey.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was recently humiliated on social media after a clip went viral of her reciting a poem at the U.S. Capitol that was written by U2’s Bono for the people of Ukraine.
Pelosi began the poem at the Friends of Ireland luncheon by saying, “Ireland’s sorrow and pain, Is now the Ukraine, and Saint Patrick’s name now Zelenskyy.”
The entire poem was incredibly cringey and people are mocking Pelosi online right now.

Washington Free Beacon reporter Chuck Ross hilariously humiliated Pelosi and said, “I need a Guinness to wash down the cringe.”
The Federalist’s Ben Domenech stated, “Is this a prank? Did someone pretend to be Bono and sent her this?”
Even the New York Times’ Liam Stack mocked Pelosi and said, “Extraordinary levels of Irish cringe. This poem brought the snakes back.”
