Pelosi Sticks Her Nose In Trump’s Business

Pelosi is back to stir the pot!

Former CNN anchor Don Lemon revealed this week that he received a personal phone call from longtime Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi following his recent arrest tied to an anti-ICE protest in Minnesota—an arrest that has reignited debate over activism, journalism, and federal law enforcement under President Trump.

Lemon was arrested Thursday evening in connection with a protest that disrupted Sunday church services at a Minnesota congregation last month. Authorities allege the demonstration interfered with lawful immigration enforcement activity. After appearing in a Los Angeles courtroom, Lemon was released without bail and is scheduled to appear next on February 9 in Minneapolis.

In the days following his arrest, Lemon has received public support from several left-leaning media figures and Democratic politicians. During a livestream on Monday, Lemon disclosed that Pelosi personally contacted him, encouraged him to “stay strong,” and suggested he could emerge as a symbolic defender of the First Amendment.

Lemon said Pelosi also expressed full confidence that the 2026 midterm elections will proceed as scheduled, despite broader political tensions. Lemon stated that he accepted her assurance, while simultaneously questioning what he described as growing threats to constitutional norms.

During the livestream, Lemon argued that the press must unite in response to his arrest, warning that constitutional protections could be weakened without collective resistance. He framed his situation as a broader test of press freedom in the United States.

Federal prosecutors see the situation differently. Lemon has been charged with conspiracy to deprive rights and violating the federal FACE Act, which protects access to religious institutions. The charges stem from his alleged involvement in organizing or coordinating the protest that interrupted worship services at St. Paul’s Cities Church.

Lemon gained national attention last month after livestreaming footage of left-wing activists entering the church during services. He maintains that he was present strictly as a journalist. However, according to charging documents, the U.S. Department of Justice alleges Lemon communicated with protest organizers prior to the incident—an allegation that prosecutors argue contradicts his claim of journalistic detachment.

As the case moves forward, critics say Pelosi’s outreach reflects a broader pattern of Democratic leaders publicly backing activist figures accused of interfering with law enforcement operations, even as President Trump’s administration continues to emphasize immigration enforcement, public order, and respect for religious institutions.
