Pence is playing dirty games.
In a shocking turn of events, former Vice President Mike Pence backstabbed former President Donald Trump once again and said that he would now consider testifying before the January 6th Committee if he was invited by them to come testify.
According to Newsmax, Pence’s aides told the Jan. 6 Panel that Trump asked Pence to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
Pence came out and said that he believes Trump was wrong for doing so and Trump denied asked Pence to do so.
Now during a new event in New Hampshire, Pence said he would consider going before the Committee to testify against Trump.
Pence shocked Republicans and said, “Any invitation that would be directed to me, I would have to reflect on the unique role I was serving in as vice president.”
Following Pence’s statement a Jan. 6 committee spokesperson did not immediately reply to Pence’s comment and Members of the committee said in June that they would consider asked Pence to come testify.
Pence later added that it “would be unprecedented in history for a vice president to be summoned to testify on Capitol Hill.”
The only time an American Vice President has ever testified before a House select committee was Schuyler Colfax in 1873.
