Biden’s leadership is pathetic.
Immediately after President Biden was informed by OPEC+ that they were cutting an astounding 2 million barrels of oil from their daily production, Biden and the Democrats panicked about midterms.
As a result, Biden is now working overtime to keep gas prices low before the midterms and is foolishly releasing 10 million barrels of oil from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) for November the same month as a midterms.
Remember the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve is used for emergencies only such as war and other major problems. Biden is making a very dumb decision to drain the reserves simply for votes.
According to Fox, after the decision by OPEC to cut oil production National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that Biden was “disappointed by the shortsighted decision by OPEC+ to cut production quotas while the global economy is dealing with the continued negative impact of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine.”
White House officials said in a statement, “The President will continue to direct SPR releases as appropriate to protect American consumers and promote energy security. He is directing the Secretary of Energy to explore any additional responsible actions to continue increasing domestic production in the immediate term.”
There should be more laws in place that prevents people like President Biden from abusing the Strategic Petroleum Reserve simply to influence the midterm elections. It’s seems like Trump filling up the reserves during his presidency was the biggest gift he could have given to the Democrats who are aiming to drain it for personal gains.
