The victim was rushed to the hospital, and the protest was quickly declared an “unlawful assembly” by the LAPD.
This incident led to the arrest of a teenage suspect, though neither the victim nor the suspect has been publicly named. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass condemned the violence, emphasizing that the city supports free speech but will hold anyone accountable for criminal actions. The protest was shut down, but it appears that the demonstrations against the administration’s immigration crackdown will continue throughout the weekend.
