Ocasio-Cortez loves migrants more than she does Americans and its clear!

In New York City, influential Democratic figures faced a wave of protests on Thursday evening, highlighting various grievances from passionate demonstrators.

During a town hall event in Queens, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) encountered immediate vocal opposition upon taking the stage. Two men expressed dissatisfaction with her congressional performance, particularly emphasizing concerns about her stance on immigration. Despite being escorted out by police, the men labeled Ocasio-Cortez as neglectful of her constituents, sparking a brief tumult before the crowd rallied in support of the congresswoman.

One man in particular literally shouted directly at Ocasio-Cortez and told her to her face “All you care about is illegal aliens and their votes! You don’t care about your constituents!”

Meanwhile, in Manhattan, protesters converged on the offices of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) to voice their opposition to the lawmakers’ approach to the Israel-Hamas conflict. Demonstrators, affiliated with the group Jewish Voice for Peace NYC, staged a blockade at the entrance of the building housing the senators’ offices, resulting in numerous arrests. Their demands included a call for Schumer and Gillibrand to sever ties with the pro-Israel lobbying group American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and advocate for a ceasefire in Gaza.

The absence of Schumer and Gillibrand among the signatories of a letter to President Joe Biden, urging a ceasefire in Gaza, underscored the growing dissent within Democratic ranks over the handling of the Israel-Hamas conflict. The protests in Manhattan reflect a broader trend of pro-Palestinian activism gaining momentum since the previous autumn.

These events underscore the complexities and divisions within the Democratic Party on key issues, ranging from immigration policy to foreign relations, as constituents and activists alike seek to hold their elected representatives accountable.
