In a stunning rebuke, Chief Justice John Roberts issued a rare public statement Tuesday after President Donald Trump called for the impeachment of a federal judge who ruled against his administration in a high-stakes deportation case.
“For over 200 years, it has been concluded that impeachment is not an justified reaction to disagreements over a judicial decision. The traditional appellate review process is used for that reason,” Roberts said.

“This judge, like several crooked judges I have been ordered to appear in front of, needs to be IMPEACHED!!! WE SO NOT WANT RUTHLESS, DANGEROUS, AND CRAZY CRIMINALS, MANY OF THEM MURDERERS, IN OUR NATION. MAGA!!!”
