Top Democrat Jumps On Trump Train

Democrats are beginning to come back to their senses.

In a stunning admission, retiring Democrat Senator Michael Bennet of Colorado slammed his own party, saying the Democrat brand has become a national liability—and he pointed to President Trump’s success as proof.

Bennet, who’s now launching a campaign for Colorado governor in 2026, didn’t hold back during a Sunday interview on CNN. When asked about the state of the Democratic Party, Bennet admitted, “I don’t think nationally the Democratic brand helps very much anywhere. If it did, we wouldn’t have lost to Donald Trump twice.”

He added, “I’m furious at the Democratic Party that has lost to Trump twice. Donald Trump couldn’t even get hired on 17th Street here in Denver—but he’s been sent to Washington twice to shake things up.”

The remarks come as Democrats face a massive credibility crisis following their defeat in the 2024 presidential election. Polls show collapsing support. According to RealClearPolitics, Democrats are sitting at just 34.7% favorable versus 58.3% unfavorable. Meanwhile, Republicans are faring better with 42% favorable—a sharp contrast that underscores the shifting political landscape under President Trump’s leadership.

Bennet’s frustration reflects growing panic within the Democrat ranks. He blasted his party’s failure to connect with working-class Americans and pointed out that middle-class families are worse off now than they were 20 years ago. “We’ve lost ground in education, in wages, in opportunity,” Bennet said.

Bennet, a failed 2020 presidential candidate and longtime Senate Democrat, was just reelected—and yet within weeks, he announced his run for governor. He’s even hinted that if elected, he’ll try to appoint his own Senate successor.

While Bennet attempted to attack Trump’s “chaos,” his words had the opposite effect: they reinforced just how badly the Democrats are struggling to respond to the America First movement. Trump’s policies—strong borders, economic revival, energy independence, and support for law enforcement—continue to energize millions of voters.

As Democrats flounder, President Trump is delivering. And for many Americans—especially seniors, veterans, and working families—there’s no comparison.
