Top US Official Trashes Trump

Democrats are talking a lot of trash.

Democrats are once again attacking President Donald Trump, this time over his bold summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

Democrat Adam Smith, the top Dem on the Armed Services Committee, went on television to slam the meeting, claiming Trump was too willing to push for peace without demanding a ceasefire first.

Smith blasted the Alaska summit as a letdown, arguing that the U.S. gave up its push for a ceasefire without getting anything in return.

Smith accused Trump of showing “deference” to Putin and said the President failed to remind the world that Ukraine is a sovereign country. But critics argue Smith and other Democrats simply can’t stand that Trump is doing what Washington elites failed to do for years — bringing world leaders to the negotiating table.

In February, President Trump and Vice President JD Vance held a tough Oval Office meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, where they drew a hard line: American taxpayers would no longer be treated like an endless ATM for a war with no clear accountability. That firm warning outraged Democrats, but it struck a chord with millions of Americans fed up with Washington pouring billions abroad while problems here at home are left unchecked.

Even Smith admitted that Trump’s effort to get Putin and Zelensky in the same room “makes sense.” Yet he quickly claimed Putin was only trying to “play” Trump to buy time.

For conservatives, the bigger story is this: while Democrats complain, President Trump is leading — using tough negotiation to push for peace and put America First.
