Democrats won’t like this at all.
Dr. Eithan Haim, a Texas surgeon who was unjustly indicted by the Biden Justice Department for exposing the truth about transgender medical procedures on minors, has been invited to attend President Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress this Tuesday night. This invitation came after the Trump administration’s Department of Justice dropped the charges against him in January, a moment that Dr. Haim described as “indescribable.”
Speaking on Fox & Friends First, Dr. Haim reflected on the incredible turn of events. “One minute, I’m facing ten years in prison for a crime that was entirely fabricated by the Biden DOJ, and the next, I’m invited by one of the most prominent conservative senators to attend the State of the Union,” he said. “It’s hard to put that into words.”
The case against Dr. Haim began when he courageously exposed documents revealing that Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston had been performing transgender medical procedures on minors. These documents, leaked by Dr. Haim, contradicted the hospital’s claims that they had stopped such procedures in 2022. After Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton deemed these procedures to be child abuse under state law, the hospital ceased these practices.
Dr. Haim was charged with four felony counts related to the disclosure. Had he been convicted, he faced up to ten years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. However, just days after Donald Trump took office, his legal team announced that the case had been dismissed “with prejudice,” meaning the federal government could never again pursue charges against him.
Reflecting on his decision to blow the whistle, Dr. Haim noted, “I could not begin my career knowing I hadn’t done the right thing when it mattered most. For me, it was about doing what was right for these vulnerable children, no matter the personal risk.” His actions are a reminder of the courage it takes to stand up for truth in the face of a system determined to silence dissent.
