What is McConnell thinking?!?
Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has just screwed over former President Donald Trump big time and is giving the green light to spend $7 million on Republican Lisa Murkowski’s re-election campaign.
McConnell’s decision to financially endorse Murkowski has stunned Republicans. Murkowski was a major thorn in Trump’s side during his presidency and has given Democrats major support through the bills she has voted on in Congress.
According to The Daily Mail, McConnell’s leadership PAC announced they will spend a $7 million ad buy so they can campaign against her Trump-endorsed Republican opponent Kelly Tshibaka.
What is even more interesting is that so far, this is the only Republican primary that Senator Mitch McConnell’s Senate Leadership Fund is getting involved with.
Why is McConnell giving so much support to Murkowski who has repeatedly thrown the GOP under the bus?
