Trump is doing exactly what Americans asked him to.
Lynn “Bugsy” Allen, a former pipeline worker, expressed strong optimism that President Donald Trump will revive the Keystone XL Pipeline, an essential project he believes will help American families thrive. Allen’s remarks came after the Biden administration canceled Trump’s permit to expedite the pipeline’s approval on its first day in office. This decision stopped the construction of a crucial oil route that would have transported oil from Alberta, Canada, through the heart of the U.S.
Allen, who was employed on the Keystone XL project before the cancellation, shared his unwavering belief that Trump will bring the pipeline back to life. Speaking on America Reports, Allen stated, “I believe 100% that Donald J. Trump is going to get this line back going. He wants to drive the oil and gas industry and make our country prosperous.” He emphasized how Trump’s policies are focused on the prosperity of American families, something he believes Biden’s administration has failed to achieve.
Trump himself has voiced his commitment to the project. On February 24, he called on the company building the pipeline to “come back to America and get it built – NOW!” Trump contrasted his administration’s approach with Biden’s, claiming that under his leadership, approvals were easier, and the economy flourished.
Allen shared the personal toll Biden’s decision had on his family, recalling the day he was laid off after the Keystone XL project was halted. “We were told we were done, that the job was over,” he said. While he struggled after losing the job, Allen found solace in his faith and was able to support his family through other work. However, he praised Trump for his leadership, particularly his “common horse sense” in putting America and its citizens first.
Looking forward, Allen believes the success of the oil industry will benefit not just workers, but local communities as well. “When that pipeline comes through your town, get ready,” he said, explaining that the economic benefits ripple through entire communities—creating jobs, increasing demand for housing, food, and fuel. He pointed out that under Biden’s policies, many towns and workers have struggled, but the future could be brighter with the return of projects like the Keystone XL Pipeline.
