Will this divide the GOP?
In a shock to many conservatives, former President Donald Trump appeared to have taken a thinly veiled jab at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis by claiming that politicians who refuse to admit their vaccination status to the public were “gutless.”
According to Newsweek, In a recent interview with One America News Network (OANN), Trump stated that politicians don’t have the “courage” to admit to the media and the American public whether or not they have taken their booster shot to protect them from the virus.
Trump recently caught backlash from conservatives after he admitted that he got his booster shot in a recent interview with Bill O’Reilly.
“I’ve had the booster. Many politicians—I watched a couple of politicians be interviewed and one of the questions was, ‘Did you get the booster?’ because they had the vaccine, and they’re answering like—in other words, the answer is ‘yes’ but they don’t want to say it because they’re gutless,” Trump stated.
Trump then explained, “You gotta say it—whether you had it or not. Say it. But the fact is that I think the vaccines saved tens of millions of people throughout the world. I’ve had absolutely no side effects.”
Trump further explained that he does not believe “young healthy people” and children should get the vaccine which is the opposite of what many medical health professionals are saying.
TRUMP says “I’ve had the booster,” and says he’s seen politicians asked the same, but dodge.
“The answer is yes, but they don’t want to say it. Because they’re gutless… Whether you had it or not. Say it.”
