Trump’s Closest Ally Working For Democrats?

This needs to be corrected quickly.

Former Fox News commentator Dan Bongino has recently accused Kellyanne Conway of covertly working with other Republicans and even some Democrats to undermine Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential bid. On his podcast, “The Dan Bongino Show,” Bongino dismissed media reports suggesting that Trump might regret choosing J.D. Vance as his running mate, labeling these rumors as baseless and misleading.

Bongino asserted that such rumors could be the result of intentional leaks from within Trump’s own campaign. He pointed to a recent article that alleged Trump was having a “meltdown” over Vance’s tepid campaign debut as evidence of internal dissent. Bongino expressed his frustration over the situation, stating, “There’s a lot of internal sabotage going on right now that I honestly did not want to highlight because I like to stay focused on the Democrats, and I was hoping it would go away. It’s not.”

Bongino suspects that these leaks are coming from Conway’s faction and warned her and others involved to cease their disruptive actions. “I strongly suspect this is coming from those who preferred another vice-presidential candidate. Instead of rallying behind this promising ticket, some are actively trying to sabotage it,” Bongino stated. “Kellyanne and others need to stop now. Enough is enough.”

In his defense of the Trump-Vance ticket, Bongino highlighted Vance’s position on international affairs, specifically his stance on Ukraine. He noted that Vance advocates for a more cautious approach compared to other candidates who supported a more aggressive posture in the region. Bongino framed this as a positive divergence from the status quo, suggesting that Vance’s perspective aligns better with a sensible foreign policy.

Kellyanne Conway, when confronted with these accusations, firmly denied any involvement in sabotage. She characterized such claims as petty gossip and emphasized that any questions about Vance’s selection were coming from others, not from her directly. “When it comes to people questioning the picking of J.D. Vance, the inquiries are coming to me, not from me,” Conway said. “I’m not instigating this; people are reaching out with concerns.”

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Trump is considering reintroducing Conway to his campaign team. This move aims to rejuvenate the campaign’s momentum amidst rising enthusiasm for opponents like Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. According to political analyst Tara Palmeri, Trump believes Conway’s seasoned expertise from the 2016 campaign could be instrumental in addressing the challenges posed by current political dynamics and reinvigorating his campaign.
