Trump Slams Far-Left Nominee: “Total Nut Job” and “Real Communist” Threat to NYC
President Donald J. Trump delivered a blunt warning Tuesday about New York’s Democratic Party, mocking their latest mayoral nominee — radical socialist Zohran Mamdani — as a “pure Communist” and a dangerous joke.
“We’re going to have a lot of fun with him,” Trump told reporters with a grin. “He has to come through this building to get his funding. Don’t worry — he’s not walking away with anything.”
Trump didn’t stop there. He blasted Mamdani’s far-left platform and took aim at the mental state of New York’s liberal voters.
“I’ve heard he’s a total nut job. A real Communist,” Trump said. “If New York chooses this guy, they’re out of their minds.”
Mamdani’s Extreme Agenda: Tax Hikes, State-Run Stores, and Anti-Police Policies
Zohran Mamdani, a 33-year-old Democratic Socialist and state assemblyman, stunned insiders by defeating former Governor Andrew Cuomo in the primary. But his policies are raising red flags among working-class New Yorkers and longtime Democrats alike.
Mamdani has:
- Proposed city-run grocery stores, modeled after failed Communist systems
- Called for higher property taxes on “whiter and richer” neighborhoods
- Refused to condemn anti-Israel hate speech, including the extremist slogan “Globalize the Intifada”
- Said billionaires shouldn’t exist, echoing Marxist talking points
In a recently resurfaced 2021 video, Mamdani openly promoted “seizing the means of production” — a chilling phrase for anyone familiar with failed Communist regimes.
Warning From a Survivor of Communism
Former Brooklyn City Councilman Ari Kagan, who fled Communist Belarus, issued a stark warning.
“I lived through government-run stores. Long lines. No freedom. After 1917, the Bolsheviks destroyed businesses and jailed anyone who resisted,” Kagan said. “Now I see the same dangerous thinking right here in New York.”
Even Democrats Are Backing Away
While Mamdani tries to rally the far-left fringe, mainstream Democrats are staying silent or outright condemning him:
- Gov. Kathy Hochul: No endorsement
- Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer: Silent
- House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries: No comment
- Reps. Tom Suozzi and Laura Gillen: Publicly denounced Mamdani’s platform
Trump Issues Final Warning to America
As Trump prepared to visit Florida’s new “Alligator Alcatraz” migrant detention center, he reminded Americans what’s at stake:
“I said it before — socialism will never take root in the United States. But now Democrats are flirting with Communism right in our biggest city. It’s a disgrace.”
