This was unexpected.
In a shocking new discovery, former President Donald Trump has just claimed that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis cried in front of him to gain his endorsement heading into the 2018 gubernatorial race.
According to Business Insider, Trump humiliated DeSantis and said, “He was dead, he was leaving the race. He came over and he begged me, begged me, for an endorsement. He was getting ready to drop out.”
Trump then said, “There were tears coming down from his eyes. He said: ‘If you endorse me, I’ll win.’ So I end up doing it, and he wins.”

After Trump decided to endorse DeSantis he said that DeSantis was a “top student at Yale and Harvard Law School” later tweeting “He will be a Great Governor & has my full Endorsement!”
DeSantis ended up winning the GOP nomination against Andrew Putnam even though he was ahead of him in the polls. DeSantis then went on and defeated his Democrat opponent Andrew Gillum to become the next governor of Florida.
It is unclear if DeSantis really did cry or not for Trump’s endorsement however it is clear that DeSantis gained major support from Trump’s support.
