Trump FBI Arrests Non-Compliant Judge

The Trump DOJ is not playing any games with those who break the law.

Milwaukee, WI — A liberal county judge is at the center of a shocking federal investigation after allegedly helping an illegal alien escape ICE custody. The arrest of Judge Hannah Dugan highlights a major win for the Trump administration’s renewed crackdown on illegal immigration and activist interference from the bench.

According to federal officials, Judge Dugan was arrested Friday on charges of obstruction and harboring an illegal immigrant, after an incident that occurred in her Milwaukee courtroom just days earlier.

🔒 “No one is above the law,” said Attorney General Pam Bondi. “Not even judges who try to shield illegal immigrants from arrest.”

🛑 What Happened in the Courtroom?

Federal agents with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) entered Judge Dugan’s courtroom on April 18 with a valid administrative warrant to detain Eduardo Flores Ruiz, a Mexican national facing three misdemeanor battery charges.

Instead of cooperating, Judge Dugan allegedly stalled agents, demanded they speak with the chief judge first, and then took matters into her own hands.

According to an FBI affidavit, Dugan instructed the illegal immigrant and his lawyer to exit through a restricted jury door, bypassing ICE agents and buying time for the suspect to flee. The door led to a non-public area not used by defendants or their attorneys.

👮 ICE Agents Forced into a Foot Chase

After being misdirected, ICE officers later spotted the suspect in the courthouse hallway. A foot pursuit ensued, and Flores Ruiz was eventually apprehended with help from the FBI and DEA.

This alarming case comes as President Trump’s Department of Homeland Security continues to roll back Biden-era sanctuary policies and empower ICE to enforce immigration law — even in places once considered “off-limits” under the previous administration.

⚖️ Legal Fallout and Courtroom Politics

Judge Dugan has since been released and is due in court for her arraignment on May 15. Meanwhile, Chief Judge Carl Ashley has come under scrutiny for reportedly drafting a policy that would limit where ICE can operate inside the courthouse.

Critics say this is a dangerous step that enables illegal activity and undermines law enforcement.

“Under Biden, ICE agents were muzzled and tied down by so-called ‘sensitive location’ rules,” said one immigration officer. “Now, under President Trump, that’s changing—and fast.”

🔁 A Pattern of Judicial Interference?

This incident marks the third time in recent months ICE has faced obstruction at this particular courthouse, raising serious questions about whether judicial activism is putting public safety at risk.

President Trump’s administration has made it clear: courthouses are not sanctuary zones for illegal immigrants. A January directive reversed the Biden-era memo and reinstated full authority for ICE to act wherever necessary to uphold federal immigration law.

🔻 The Bottom Line

This case shines a spotlight on the growing tension between liberal judges and federal immigration enforcement. The Trump administration has once again demonstrated a firm commitment to law and order, even when it means holding powerful judicial figures accountable.
