Trump Gets Framed By Jack Smith?

This is getting crazy.

Following a superseding indictment presented by special counsel Jack Smith on Thursday night, former President Donald Trump has completely denied any involvement in seeking the destruction of security footage at his private residence, Mar-a-Lago.

According to Newsmax, in a statement posted on Truth Social on Sunday morning, Trump insisted that the Mar-a-Lago security tapes were not deleted, but rather handed over voluntarily to what he described as a group of “thugs” led by Jack Smith. He asserted that he never instructed anyone to delete the tapes and accused the prosecution of engaging in fiction and misconduct, calling it an attempt at election interference.

Trump continued to assert that President Joe Biden is using the justice system to investigate, prosecute, and persecute his political opponents. He compared the situation to the previous “Russia, Russia, Russia HOAX,” claiming that false charges are levied to trap individuals on charges of obstruction.

Later in the day, Trump posted another message on Truth Social, claiming that the Justice Department “thugs” led by Jack Smith are now admitting that the Mar-a-Lago security footage was not deleted. He criticized them for alleged illegal leaks to the press and called for their prosecution for misconduct. Trump also questioned the whereabouts of documents related to President Biden and accused Jack Smith of receiving bribes from China.

During his Make America Great Again rally speech in Erie, Pennsylvania, on Saturday night, Trump made several promises, including endorsing primary challenges for Republicans who do not hold the Biden administration, Democrats, and anti-Trump forces accountable. He also advocated for an independent special counsel to investigate allegations of misconduct by the “Biden crime family.”

In contrast to the Trump administration’s appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller to investigate claims of Russian election interference, Biden has declined to appoint a special counsel to look into Republicans’ allegations of a global Biden bribery and influence peddling scheme. House Republicans, led by Speaker Kevin McCarthy, are reportedly considering bringing the authority of an impeachment inquiry against Biden, Attorney General Merrick Garland, and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
