Trump-Hater Wins Big In Shady Gambling Scheme

Illinois’ liberal governor just hit the jackpot — literally.

While families across America are tightening their belts, billionaire Democrat J.B. Pritzker pocketed $1.4 million from gambling in Las Vegas, according to newly released tax filings.

The far-left governor, who’s been a loud critic of President Donald Trump, didn’t earn that money through public service — he earned it at the blackjack tables. His campaign insists he’ll “donate it to charity,” but critics say that’s a convenient excuse for a man already worth nearly $4 billion.

Vegas Winnings Raise Serious Questions

Pritzker and his wife reported $10.7 million in taxable income last year, driven in part by his massive gambling windfall. The campaign claims it was all just a “lucky vacation” with friends in Vegas — but the timing couldn’t be worse for the Democrat governor, who’s already facing criticism for his out-of-touch leadership as Illinois’ economy continues to crumble.

The governor’s personal fortune — inherited from the Hyatt Hotels empire — is now estimated at $3.9 billion, a jump of nearly $200 million since last year. Meanwhile, Illinois taxpayers are facing some of the highest taxes in the Midwest and watching thousands of residents flee the state every year.

“No Salary Needed” — But Still Raking It In

Pritzker hasn’t accepted a government paycheck since taking office in 2019. His campaign likes to spin that as “public service.” But critics say it’s easy to forgo a salary when you’re a billionaire with trusts generating tens of millions.

His 2024 filings show he and his wife paid $1.6 million in federal taxes and $512,000 to the state — but their trusts quietly paid $30.2 million to the feds and $4.5 million to Illinois, a steep drop from previous years. What changed? No one’s saying.

The Pritzkers also claimed $4.2 million in capital gains and donated $3.3 million to charity, almost double the year before. Yet his team refuses to release full tax returns, hiding key details of how his fortune is structured and taxed.

Funding His Own Political Machine

Despite claiming to fight for the “working class,” Pritzker has spent hundreds of millions of his own fortune to stay in power. In 2018, he poured $170 million into his first campaign, and in 2022, he spent another $159 million to secure re-election.

Now, as he seeks a third term in 2026, Pritzker’s image as a “man of the people” is looking more like a mirage in the desert — much like that lucky Vegas night.

Bottom Line

While hardworking Americans face higher prices, higher taxes, and an uncertain future, Illinois’ Democrat governor is cashing in at the casino — and cashing out politically.

Once again, the party that claims to fight for the little guy is run by billionaires who never stop winning — even when the cards should be stacked against them.
