Trump-Hating Democrat Pays The Ultimate Price

This was totally unacceptable and justice must be served.

The House Freedom Caucus (HFC) is preparing to introduce a resolution to censure Democratic Representative Al Green for his disruptive behavior during President Trump’s recent joint session of Congress, an act that has been widely condemned by Republicans as “shameful” and a breach of Congressional decorum.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) shortly after the incident, the HFC emphasized that the joint session was a “constitutional obligation” and not an opportunity for Democrats to create chaos or engage in disrespectful behavior. “The people’s business cannot be hijacked by noise, threats, or distractions,” they said. “Our colleagues are on notice: the heckler’s veto will not be tolerated. Those who disrupt will be held accountable.”

Rep. Green, who represents Texas, took it upon himself to interrupt President Trump’s speech just minutes into the address. Waving his cane and shouting that the president had no mandate to serve, Green’s actions violated the dignity of the chamber. House Speaker Mike Johnson immediately intervened, using his gavel to warn Green to cease the disruption. “That’s your warning,” Speaker Johnson stated, making it clear that further disturbances would not be tolerated.

Despite the warning, Green persisted, prompting Speaker Johnson to issue a final command: “Mr. Green, take your seat. Take your seat, sir.” When Green continued to defy authority, Johnson ordered him removed from the chamber, a moment met with a chorus of “hey, hey, hey, goodbye” from Republican members as he was escorted out.

After the incident, Green stood by his actions, telling reporters, “It’s worth it to let people know there are still those who will stand up to this president.” However, his defiant behavior was seen by many as an unacceptable breach of Congressional protocol, one that the House Freedom Caucus aims to formally address through a censure resolution. Republicans are making it clear that such disruptions will not be tolerated, reinforcing the importance of respect and order within the legislative process.
