Here’s what Trump had to say…
During his recent Save America rally in the state of Georgia, Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz and other Republicans said that they would nominate former President Donald Trump as Speaker of the House after the GOP takes control of the House following the midterms.
Now, it appears that Trump has finally broken his silence about the decision and said that he is not interested in being the Speaker of the House.
According to Newsmax, during a new interview Trump said, “It’s not something I want. A lot of people bring it up. It’s brought up all the time. It’s not something I would be interested in.”
Trump didn’t stop there however. He also explained that isn’t considering a third presidential run until after he sees what happens in the midterms.
“I want to look at what’s happening, and then we’re going to be doing something else,” Trump explained.
Trump then explained that the midterm elections and the 2024 presidential election are going to be very critical for the future of the United States.
