President Donald Trump escalated his public feud with CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins over the weekend by sharing a new edited image on Truth Social, just days after taking aim at the journalist during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
The post quickly drew attention online, adding another chapter to the long-running back-and-forth between Trump and one of the reporters who has frequently questioned him during White House press briefings and campaign events.

On Sunday morning, Trump posted an edited image that placed Collins in a version of Bud Light’s widely discussed 2023 promotional campaign featuring transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.

Trump joked that he initially believed Collins had landed a major endorsement deal before revealing that the person featured on the Bud Light can was actually Dylan Mulvaney, not the CNN anchor.

Trump also poked fun at Collins’ serious on-air demeanor, saying he had encouraged her to smile more because, in his view, she should be happier despite working for what he referred to as “CNN fake news.”

CNN Defends Kaitlan Collins
CNN responded shortly after Trump’s remarks by issuing a statement praising Collins’ work as the network’s chief White House correspondent.
A CNN spokesperson described Collins as an “exceptional, trusted journalist” and highlighted her experience covering the White House, saying she delivers reporting with “strength, tenacity, and skill.”
The network also reaffirmed its full support for Collins following the president’s comments.
Collins Appears To Respond
Collins did not directly address Trump’s remarks or the Truth Social post.
However, on Saturday she shared a quote from former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt on Instagram that many observers viewed as an indirect response.
The quote read:
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
While Collins offered no additional explanation, the post quickly attracted attention as reactions to Trump’s comments continued to circulate.
