Trump isn’t worried at all about the Obama family.
Former President Trump has expressed skepticism regarding the possibility of Michelle Obama running for the White House in the upcoming 2024 election. In an interview with The National Pulse, Trump was asked about the prospect of Obama entering the race, to which he responded negatively, indicating that he did not foresee her candidacy materializing. He also cast doubts on President Biden’s chances of successfully running for re-election.
According to The Hill, Trump’s comments diverge from the opinions of other prominent Republicans, who have recently considered Michelle Obama as a potential Democratic candidate. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, for instance, suggested that Democrats could potentially nominate Obama if Biden decided not to pursue re-election, speculating about her candidacy as a unifying solution for the Democratic Party.
Furthermore, former GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin engaged with election conspiracy theories on social media, expressing her belief that Biden would not run in 2024 and suggesting Michelle Obama as a potential candidate for the next presidential election.
It is worth noting, however, that Michelle Obama has consistently and emphatically denied any interest in running for political office.
In both 2018 and 2019, she stated that she had no intention of seeking the presidency, emphasizing that her focus remained on other ways of contributing to the betterment of the country and the world. She firmly rejected the notion that her intelligence or public speaking abilities automatically qualified her for the role of president, affirming that the Oval Office was not a path she intended to pursue.
