Trump Opposers Kicked Out of Congress?

Trump has issued his final warning.

Washington, D.C. – President Donald J. Trump is sending a powerful message to Republican lawmakers: Stand with the America First agenda—or face the consequences at the ballot box.

After the House passed Trump’s landmark tax and spending package—dubbed the “One Big Beautiful Bill”—by a razor-thin 215-214 margin, the White House signaled the president may back primary challengers to the two GOP members who voted against it: Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Rep. Warren Davidson of Ohio.

Trump: GOP Must Stand United on America First Agenda

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made it clear during Thursday’s press briefing: “I believe he does,” she said when asked whether Trump supports primarying Republican holdouts. “The president doesn’t like to see grandstanders in Congress. The stakes are too high.”

The bill represents a cornerstone of Trump’s second-term policy platform, featuring:

  • Permanent tax cuts for individuals and small businesses
  • Expanded child tax credits
  • Tax exemptions for tips and overtime pay
  • Tougher rules for welfare eligibility
  • Enhanced immigration enforcement

These are policies deeply supported by conservative voters aged 50 and older, who continue to bear the brunt of high inflation, tax burdens, and open-border policies pushed by the left.

Opposition Sparks Trump’s Warning: “Get in Line or Get Out of the Way”

Despite overwhelming support from House Republicans, Massie and Davidson broke ranks. Massie called the bill a “ticking debt bomb,” while Davidson argued that future promises to cut spending don’t justify increased deficits today.

But many Trump allies say the bill is exactly what’s needed to revive the economy, defend working Americans, and restore fiscal sanity—a bold move in the face of entrenched Washington interests.

“What’s the alternative?” Leavitt asked. “Do they want a tax hike? Do they want to see our country go bankrupt?”

Trump Thanks GOP Allies and Praises Speaker Johnson

Trump took to Truth Social to praise House Republicans:

“Great job by Speaker Mike Johnson and the House Leadership—and thank you to every Republican who voted YES on this Historic Bill!”

Speaker Johnson hopes to deliver the bill to the president’s desk by July 4, framing the legislation as a true “Independence Day” for American taxpayers.

What’s Next? Eyes on the Senate

With the bill heading to the Democrat-controlled Senate, all eyes are now on whether moderate Democrats will cave to pressure from their constituents—or continue obstructing popular pro-growth reforms.
