President Donald Trump expressed his disbelief upon learning that former President Joe Biden had signed with a prominent Hollywood talent agency just weeks after leaving office. Trump, while in the Oval Office signing executive orders, was caught off guard when a reporter asked about Biden’s new venture into the entertainment world.
“You’re telling me he signed with a talent agency?” Trump responded, shaking his head in surprise. “I think he has a lot of bigger problems to focus on than that, but I wish him well.”
Trump went on to remind the public of the challenges his administration faced after Biden’s tenure, referring to the state of the country as a “mess” that needed to be fixed. “We inherited a disaster, but we’re taking care of it. We’re working to make America great again.”
Biden recently rejoined Creative Artists Agency (CAA), a firm he had been associated with from 2017 to 2020. The agency issued a statement acknowledging Biden’s continued influence on both national and global affairs. Richard Lovett, Co-chairman of CAA, praised Biden’s “lifelong dedication to public service” and noted his qualities of “optimism, unity, dignity, and possibility.”
This marks Biden’s return to the agency, which previously helped him publish his memoir, Promise Me, Dad, in 2017, and arrange his “American Promise” speaking tour. That tour reportedly sold more than 85,000 tickets nationwide, showcasing Biden’s ability to draw a crowd even after his time as vice president.
Interestingly, CAA also represents other high-profile figures like former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama, aligning Biden with the ongoing trend of former leaders capitalizing on their public personas post-office.
