Trump has a warning for some high profile individuals.
Hours before the kickoff of Super Bowl LVIII, Donald Trump directed a message towards Taylor Swift, advising her against endorsing Joe Biden.
Taking to social media on Sunday, the former president indirectly appealed to the pop star, who was anticipated to have a prominent presence on television during the game, where her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was set to play.
Trump asserted his role in Swift’s financial prosperity, suggesting that endorsing Biden would be “disloyal to the man who made her so much money.”
“I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists. Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor, and never will,” Trump expressed on Truth Social, referencing legislation he signed in 2018 aimed at modernizing copyright laws.
He continued, “There’s no way she could endorse Crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt President in the History of our Country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money. Besides that, I like her boyfriend, Travis, even though he may be a Liberal, and probably can’t stand me!”
Speculation arose late last month following a New York Times report suggesting Biden’s campaign was seeking Swift’s endorsement, leading to various conspiracy theories, including one claiming the NFL postseason was rigged to favor the Chiefs so Swift could deliver the endorsement to a massive TV audience during the game.
Although Swift endorsed Biden over Trump in 2020, she has yet to indicate whether she will make a similar endorsement again.
