Media Meltdown: ABC Falsely Suggests Trump Was Personally Given a Luxury Jet Meant for the U.S. Military
President Donald Trump is calling out ABC News in a fiery new statement—accusing the liberal network of deliberately misleading the American public about a $400 million Boeing 747 donation from Qatar.
In a post late Saturday on Truth Social, President Trump blasted the network for pushing what he called a “flat-out lie”—a claim that the luxury aircraft was given to him personally. In reality, the plane was a strategic gift to the U.S. Air Force, helping to strengthen American defense while saving taxpayers hundreds of millions.
“ABC Fake News knows the truth. The plane was given to our military—not to me,” Trump wrote. “They’re smearing a major ally and misleading the American people. It’s a disgrace.”
$1.4 Trillion Investment at Risk
Qatar, one of America’s strongest partners in the Gulf, recently pledged to invest more than $1.4 trillion in the United States. As part of that partnership, the country donated a state-of-the-art aircraft to the Pentagon—not to President Trump.
“This kind of dishonest reporting doesn’t just attack me—it harms our international partnerships and wastes American goodwill,” Trump added.
ABC Already Paid $15 Million for Defamation
Trump reminded followers that ABC News recently settled a $15 million defamation case after anchor George Stephanopoulos falsely claimed the president had been “found liable for rape”—a false and damaging lie the network had to walk back.
“Why doesn’t Bob Iger rein in his network?” Trump asked. “They just lost $16 million because of George Slopadopolus, and now they’re at it again.”
Liberal Media’s Latest Smear Falls Apart
The original May 11 report from ABC’s Jon Karl and Katherine Faulders clearly stated the aircraft was a gift to the Defense Department. But ABC’s Rachel Scott reignited controversy at a press briefing the next day when she asked Trump, “What do you say to people who see the jet as a personal gift to you?”
Trump fired back immediately: “You should be embarrassed asking that question.”
CBS May Be Next: Legal Action Looms
Trump’s legal team is also pursuing a potential settlement with CBS News over a deceptively edited interview with former Vice President Kamala Harris. Paramount, CBS’s parent company, is reportedly weighing a payout—possibly tied to its interest in obtaining Trump administration approval for a pending sale to Skydance Media.
Bottom Line: Trump Fights Back, Media Scrambles
Once again, President Trump is standing firm in the face of coordinated media attacks, defending both his name and the hard-earned tax dollars of the American people.
The conservative base sees right through these smears—and with major media outlets now facing legal consequences, it’s clear that truth and accountability are finally winning.
