This is new bombshell US leadership did not expect.
A major intelligence bombshell out of Austria has revealed that the Islamic Republic of Iran is actively developing nuclear weapons—a direct contradiction of U.S. intelligence claims still echoing from the Obama-Biden era.
The report, released by Austria’s Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, warns that Iran is stockpiling long-range ballistic missiles and pursuing nuclear arms to expand its dominance across the Middle East.
This is not speculation. Austrian intelligence says Iran’s nuclear weapons program is “well advanced”—a chilling phrase that should alarm every American concerned about national security.
This news is in sharp contrast to what U.S. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard told the Senate earlier this year. Gabbard claimed Iran is not building nuclear weapons and that Ayatollah Khamenei had not approved such a program since 2003.
But European allies are waving red flags.
Austria’s 211-page report identifies Iran as a state sponsor of terrorism nearly 100 times. It warns that Iran is using its massive embassy in Vienna to run covert operations disguised as diplomacy.
And the threat goes far beyond just nuclear warheads.
Iran Helping Terrorists—and Russia
The report also accuses Iran of arming terror groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Syrian militias—groups directly responsible for attacks on U.S. allies.
Perhaps even more shocking: Iranian networks are helping Russia evade sanctions by funneling banned technology through secret supply chains.
This directly threatens American interests—and aids America’s global adversaries.
A Real Bomb Plot—Stopped Just in Time
In 2021, an Iranian diplomat stationed in Vienna was convicted by a Belgian court for attempting to bomb an anti-regime rally in France. The event was attended by tens of thousands of Iranian dissidents—and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who was then serving as President Trump’s personal attorney.
This is how far the Iranian regime is willing to go to silence opposition.
Experts: U.S. Intel Is Outdated—and Dangerous
David Albright, a top physicist and nuclear security expert in Washington, blasted the U.S. intelligence community for relying on the deeply flawed 2007 National Intelligence Estimate, which falsely claimed Iran’s weapons program had stopped.
“The Austrian report is in line with what Germany and the U.K. have known for years,” said Albright. “The U.S. assessment is stuck in the past.”
Trump’s Position: Iran Will NEVER Get a Nuke
A senior White House official told Fox News Digital that President Donald Trump remains committed to ensuring Iran never obtains a nuclear weapon—or the ability to build one.
Unlike the appeasement strategies of the past, Trump’s America puts national security and peace through strength first.
Iran’s Deception Has a Long History
Fox News previously exposed how Iran, even after the 2015 nuclear deal, continued to bypass U.S. and EU sanctions to acquire nuclear and chemical weapons tech. Despite promises, Iran never gave up its ambitions—it simply got better at hiding them.
Now, Austria’s intelligence agency is ringing the alarm—and it’s time Washington listens.
