Take a look for yourself.

President Donald Trump has revealed a new limited-edition Patriot Passport as part of the nationwide celebration marking America’s 250th anniversary, giving Americans an early look at one of the administration’s newest patriotic commemorative projects.

The special passport design was shared Friday on Truth Social, where Trump introduced it with a brief message:

“The U.S.A.’s New Passport, which says, ‘Welcome, but be good!'”

The newly released design features President Trump standing behind the historic Resolute Desk, with the text of the Declaration of Independence displayed in the background. Another page includes John Trumbull’s famous painting depicting the signing of the Declaration of Independence, highlighting the nation’s founding and its enduring principles of liberty and self-government.

The Patriot Passport is one of several projects connected to the America 250 celebration, which commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.

The State Department first previewed the commemorative passport earlier this year, but the updated version unveiled by Trump quickly attracted widespread attention online. The White House also shared the image on its official social media accounts, describing it simply as the “PATRIOT PASSPORT.”

Supporters have praised the commemorative passport as a unique way to honor America’s history during the nation’s milestone anniversary. Many view it as another effort to highlight the country’s founding ideals and celebrate one of the most significant events in American history.

As with many Trump initiatives, however, the announcement has also generated criticism from political opponents.

Several organizations and activists argue that commemorative government projects should focus exclusively on historical symbols rather than contemporary political leaders. Similar objections have been raised over other proposals connected to the administration.

One legal dispute involved efforts to associate Trump’s name with the Kennedy Center. While a judge ordered temporary signage removed during ongoing litigation, discussions surrounding future changes at the performing arts center have continued.

Another challenge involved a proposed America the Beautiful National Parks Pass, which reportedly featured images of President Trump alongside former President George Washington rather than a traditional national park landscape.

The Center for Biological Diversity filed a lawsuit over the proposal, arguing that America’s public lands should remain politically neutral. The organization maintained that national parks belong to all Americans and should not be used to promote any elected official.

Despite the criticism, the Patriot Passport has become one of the latest symbols of the administration’s broader America 250 initiative. With celebrations planned across the country leading up to the nation’s 250th birthday, additional commemorative projects are expected to be announced in the months ahead.

Whether viewed as a patriotic tribute or a political statement, the new passport has already sparked national conversation—and it is likely to remain part of the debate as America prepares to celebrate one of the biggest milestones in its history.
