Liberals hate to see this!
Pro-Donald Trump supporters across the U.S. are finding creative ways to show their admiration for the former president, with one of the latest trends being the use of dollar bills stamped with pro-Trump messages. The phrase “Donald Trump Lives Here” is appearing on currency, reflecting the passionate loyalty many conservatives still have for the 45th president.
Despite the fact that Donald Trump’s favorability rating has reached a historic high among his base, his overall approval remains low when compared to past presidents. Nevertheless, his supporters continue to rally behind him in inventive ways, including this new form of currency activism. Stamped bills are popping up on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit, often with amusing commentary. One Reddit user shared a photo of three stamped $1 bills, remarking that they received the bills as part of their payment for dinner. Another user, a bank employee, chimed in, saying they encounter similar stamped currency frequently in their line of work.
While some critics have mocked the trend, calling the stamps on bills an unnecessary distraction, others see it as a harmless and lighthearted way to express support. A post on X from a user named Koprogoore, which garnered millions of views, showcased a $5 bill with the stamp, humorously commenting that Trump now lives at the Lincoln Memorial. Similar posts and comments from users have sparked a fun back-and-forth about where exactly Trump’s “residence” might be located on U.S. currency.
For those interested in owning their own Trump-themed stamp, a number of online retailers, including Amazon, are selling them, with one notable retailer, “End The Wokeness,” offering a version aimed at helping supporters “mark your money with pride.” The description encourages conservatives to proudly display their stamp at rallies, fundraisers, or simply while out shopping.
However, while it may be a fun way for Trump’s base to express their allegiance, there are legal concerns. According to U.S. law, defacing currency can be illegal under 18 U.S. Code § 333, which prohibits mutilating, cutting, or defacing bills with the intention of making them unfit for circulation. However, enforcement of this law is rare, and many believe these stamped bills will likely go unnoticed by authorities.
Regardless of the legal implications, the trend is yet another indication of the deep loyalty Trump’s supporters have—and their willingness to express it in unconventional and unexpected ways. For many, these stamped bills are a badge of honor, a small token of their continued commitment to the ideals and leadership they believe Trump represents.
