Here’s what Carlson had to say…
At a recent event, Tucker Carlson, the former Fox News host, hinted at the prospect of teaming up with former President Trump as a running mate when questioned about the possibility.
During a speech at the annual Christmas gala of the American Principles Project Foundation, Carlson remarked, “God would have to yell at me very loud,” according to reports from Semafor.
Addressing inquiries about a recent Axios report suggesting that Melania Trump was pushing for Carlson as a potential running mate, he stated, “I don’t know her, really.” Carlson conveyed the challenge of envisioning the transition from being a well-paid commentator to stepping into the realm of politics, comparing it to going from a “well-paid street corner schizophrenic” to a politician.
Following his removal from Fox News in April, a move that reportedly irked Trump, the former president had previously expressed interest in Carlson as a running mate, citing his “great common sense” during a statement last month.
