Tucker Carlson Sinks Trump’s MAGA

A major rift has emerged inside the MAGA movement—pitting two conservative icons against each other over U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East.

On Monday night, President Donald Trump took aim at longtime ally Tucker Carlson, calling the popular conservative commentator “kooky” in a Truth Social post. Trump’s criticism came after Carlson questioned America’s role in the growing conflict between Israel and Iran—warning that foreign entanglements could drain U.S. resources and lead to unintended consequences.

“Iran can never be allowed to have a nuclear weapon,” Trump wrote, urging those pushing for U.S. restraint to rethink their stance.

Marjorie Taylor Greene Backs Tucker Carlson, Rejects ‘Endless Wars’

But Trump’s remarks sparked immediate backlash from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), one of his most loyal supporters in Congress. Instead of backing the former president’s hardline approach, Greene strongly defended Carlson—and doubled down on an “America First” position.

“Tucker Carlson is one of my favorite people,” Greene wrote on X. “He loves his wife, his kids, and this great country. He believes, like I do, that if we don’t stand up for our own people and our own nation, we won’t have a future to pass on to our grandchildren.”

Greene continued by condemning America’s track record of military interventions, regime change operations, and foreign wars—policies that, she argues, weaken the country and leave Americans footing the bill.

“Foreign wars kill innocent people, put America last, and are making us broke. That’s not ‘kooky’—that’s common sense. And that’s exactly what millions of voters supported when they chose Donald Trump in 2016 and 2020.”

A Growing Divide Inside the America First Movement

The tension between Trump and Carlson reveals a deeper split within the conservative movement—especially among voters who are tired of endless wars and believe Washington should stop acting as the world’s policeman.

Carlson, once one of Trump’s most trusted media allies, previously hosted the former president for an exclusive interview and helped amplify the MAGA message through his top-rated Fox News show. He remains a favorite voice for older conservatives, veterans, and those skeptical of global interventionism.

But as the situation in the Middle East escalates, voices like Carlson and Greene are urging caution—warning that the U.S. cannot afford to get dragged into another costly conflict overseas while inflation, border chaos, and rising crime continue to hurt everyday Americans at home.

Will MAGA Stay United on Foreign Policy?

With 2024 behind us and the next major election cycle approaching, the rift between Trump and key America First conservatives like Carlson could shape the future direction of the GOP. Will the movement continue to support foreign entanglements—or will it return to its original promise of putting America First in every sense?

What’s clear is that many longtime Trump supporters are now watching closely. And for voters 50 and older—especially those concerned about war, the economy, and preserving American values—this debate is far from over.
