Here are the details.

As you may have already heard, former President Donald Trump recently made headlines after he canceled his January 6th press conference which was going to be held at Mar-a-Lago.

Now, it appears that Trump made the decision to cancel after speaking privately with Republican Senator Lindsey Graham and Fox’s Laura Ingraham who urged him not to do it.

According to Axios, Sen. Graham urged Trump not to hold the press conference because he believed it was no longer important and he should focus more on the upcoming 2024 presidential election and election reform instead.

During an interview, Graham stated that he was playing golf with Trump when he brought up the subject. Graham told him “there could be peril in doing a news conference. … Best to focus on election reform instead.”

Fox’s Laura Ingraham also shared a similar sentiment and asked, “Some things were horrific that happened and shouldn’t have happened that day. … Is it smart for President Trump to do a rally on that particular day, versus next week or the week before?

Trump however didn’t mention Graham of Ingraham for his reason to cancel the event and stated, “In light of the total bias and dishonesty of the January 6th Unselect Committee of Democrats, two failed Republicans, and the Fake News Media, I am canceling the January 6th Press Conference at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, and instead will discuss many of those important topics at my rally on Saturday, January 15th, in Arizona – It will be a big crowd!”
