According to a recent poll conducted by the University of Georgia’s School of Public & International Affairs, a majority of likely Republican Primary voters in Georgia, comprising 51% of the participants, expressed their support for former President Donald Trump. Meanwhile, 30% of these voters voiced their support for Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. It’s worth noting that such polls are not static and can be influenced by various factors like events, messaging, and campaign strategies.
According to Newsmax, here are the other candidates and how much support they have garnered:
- 4% support Nikki Haley, former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations
- 2% support former Vice President Mike Pence
- 2% support former Rep. Liz Cheney
- 1% support Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C.
- 7% are undecided.
From April 2 to April 7, 983 individuals who were presumed to be Republican primary voters in Georgia were surveyed in a poll. The poll results have a margin of error of 3.1 percentage points.
As of right now, its very clear that former President Donald Trump is the 10-ton behemoth in the Republican party. Additionally, Republican voters are angrier than ever before about all of the legal attacks being placed on Donald Trump by Democrat leaders around the country.
Trump is the clear leader of the Republican Party and it is only a matter of time before he earn the 2024 Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential election.
