This was a result of his poor leadership now he must pay.

President Donald Trump has rejected a request from Minnesota’s Democratic Governor Tim Walz asking for $500 million to rebuild and repair parts of Minneapolis destroyed by rioters following George Floyd’s death.

According to the Washington Examiner, “The Governor is disappointed that the federal government declined his request for financial support,” Gov. Walz’s office wrote. “As we navigate one of the most difficult periods in our state’s history, we look for support from our federal government to help us through.”

Rioters destroyed or damaged around 1,500 buildings in Minneapolis and Gov. Walz instructed his officers to stand down.

Republicans across the country applauded President Trump for his latest decision. Rep. Jeff Duncan took to Twitter and wrote, “Great news! @realDonaldTrump has DENIED Minnesota’s disaster request to repair half a billion dollars in damage from the riots. Governors and Mayors who ordered police to stand down and watch their cities burn shouldn’t get a penny in taxpayer aid!

Conservative radio host Mark Levin wrote, “Great decision.  The president offered the National Guard but the pathetic governor waited and waited.  And now the Minneapolis city council votes to abolish its police department.   Pay for your own man-made hell.  So much for utopia.”
