Protestors Ruin Kamala’s Day

Kamala Harris’ big return to the spotlight didn’t go as planned.

Her latest stop on her national “107 Days” book tour in Chicago turned chaotic as multiple protestors interrupted the former vice president mid-speech — leaving the crowd stunned and security scrambling.

Protest Chaos Erupts

Harris, seated on stage with journalist Michele Norris, was discussing her memoir when one woman suddenly began yelling from the audience.

Attendees quickly chanted “Get her out!” as security escorted the protester from the room. Moments later, another protester shouted about “genocide,” sparking even more commotion before also being removed.

Video clips from the event show at least three separate disruptions during the talk — a pattern that has followed Harris throughout her tour.

Norris attempted to calm the situation, telling the audience, “We encourage people to use their voices, but we want them to show respect for this woman.”

Harris, visibly rattled, tried to recover with a joke: “And please pronounce my name correctly…”

Book Tour Backfires Nationwide

This latest blow-up isn’t isolated. Since launching her national “107 Days” tour last month, Harris has faced angry interruptions in several cities. The book chronicles her failed 107-day sprint for the presidency after Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 race — and critics say it exposes more bitterness than leadership.

The memoir dives into behind-the-scenes drama, campaign feuds, and inner-party tension, painting an unflattering portrait of her own political downfall.

Even Democrats Are Turning on Her

Even loyal Democrats are calling the move a disaster. One senior Democratic adviser told Politico:

“At a time when people want leadership and vision, she writes a gossip book. It’s embarrassing — for her and for the party.”

Former CNN journalist Chris Cillizza agreed, writing that Harris’ recent media blitz “reminds everyone she’s just not a very good politician.” He added that her speeches are filled with “word salads” and awkward pauses that make her look unprepared.

Democratic strategist Gary South told The Hill the timing couldn’t be worse, saying excerpts show Harris “blaming everyone but herself for her loss.” He added:

“It’s negative, ungracious, and politically tone-deaf — not what you’d expect from someone eyeing 2028.”

A Public Relations Disaster

What was supposed to be a comeback tour has instead turned into a PR nightmare. The book, the protests, and the media backlash have left Harris facing the same perception she’s battled for years — out of touch, overly defensive, and politically weak.

And while Harris insists “107 Days” is about reflection and growth, many voters see something else: a career politician struggling to stay relevant in a party that’s already moved on.
