A shocking response from the far-left is turning heads across America.
The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) — the same group connected to New York City mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani — has openly condemned President Donald Trump’s successful peace deal that halted fighting between Israel and Hamas.
Far-Left Group Rejects Peace and Praises “Resistance”
Instead of celebrating the return of hostages and the end of bloodshed, the DSA doubled down on anti-Israel rhetoric. In a statement titled “Until Palestinian Liberation,” the organization dismissed the ceasefire as meaningless and accused Israel of “terrorizing” Palestinians and neighboring nations.
The DSA went as far as to claim that Israel wields “the implicit threat of nuclear engagement” to impose “fascist, expansionist aspirations.”
Nowhere did the statement mention the Israeli hostages freed through Trump’s diplomatic pressure — a move praised globally for restoring calm in a volatile region.
Mamdani Follows the Radical Playbook
Candidate Zohran Mamdani, a proud DSA member, echoed those same divisive talking points. On X, he wrote about “occupation and apartheid” — never once acknowledging Hamas’ brutal attacks or the innocent lives Trump helped save through negotiation.
He posted: “We must work toward a future without occupation and apartheid.” But New York City Councilwoman Inna Vernikov quickly fired back, calling his post a “word salad” that ignored reality. Even former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, who is challenging Mamdani for mayor, blasted his slow response to the peace deal, writing: “His silence speaks volumes.”
Family Ties Spark Further Outrage
Adding to the controversy, Mamdani’s wife Rama Duwaji posted a tribute mourning a Palestinian influencer, Saleh al-Jafarawi, who had publicly praised Hamas’ October 7 attacks. He was later killed in Gaza. Her Instagram post referring to him as “beloved” sparked outrage from New Yorkers and Jewish leaders alike.
A Stark Warning About Today’s Democratic Party
For many Americans, this controversy exposes just how extreme the Democratic movement has become. When President Trump delivers peace, Democrats on the far-left attack it. When terrorists are condemned, they stay silent.
This isn’t the Democratic Party of decades past — it’s an activist-driven movement that sides with radicals, vilifies allies, and undermines peace efforts that make the world safer.
President Trump’s firm stance and fearless diplomacy have once again revealed the contrast: leadership that achieves peace versus politics that breeds chaos.
