Trump Gets Incredible Gift From GOP

WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald J. Trump just received an incredible honor from his Republican allies and international partners who say his leadership has brought real peace to the Middle East.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) revealed Tuesday that he is joining forces with Israeli Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana to gather worldwide parliamentary backing for President Donald Trump’s Nobel Peace Prize nomination. The effort highlights Trump’s decisive role in achieving the Gaza ceasefire and securing the release of Israeli hostages — accomplishments many once believed were out of reach.

“This is a truly historic moment,” Johnson told reporters. “For generations, people prayed for peace in the Middle East — and President Trump delivered it. He deserves recognition on the world stage.”

Johnson praised Trump’s 20-point peace framework for Gaza, calling it the boldest diplomatic effort in modern history. “No one has ever earned that prize more. That’s not an opinion — that’s a fact,” he said.

Ohana first confirmed Monday that he and Johnson would coordinate a global campaign to rally parliaments behind Trump’s Nobel nomination. The announcement came shortly after Trump delivered a powerful one-hour address to the Knesset, where lawmakers gave him multiple standing ovations.

“No president in history has worked so hard to save lives and pursue peace,” Johnson said. “The world is safer because of American strength — and President Trump’s leadership proves that peace through strength works.”

Johnson also shared a striking story: an Israeli hostage released earlier this year said Hamas treated him better after Trump’s 2024 election victory, believing Trump would act decisively to bring the captives home.

“Elections carry real consequences,” Johnson remarked. “Hamas was reportedly hoping for a Kamala Harris victory — but they were wary of President Donald J. Trump’s strength. Fortunately, for America and the free world, that outcome never came to pass.”

Earlier this year, Johnson said Trump also deserved the Nobel Peace Prize for reducing violent crime in Washington, D.C., after taking federal control of the police department.

The Speaker closed by praising Trump as a symbol of global hope:

“President Trump’s leadership restores peace, safety, and strength — not only for America, but for freedom-loving nations everywhere.”
