ProPublica reported that Kremlev paid hundreds of thousands of dollars toward those festivities, including the cost of renting a private island used during the celebrations.
The publication also reported that Kremlev covered the cost of a large fireworks display.
Trump Jr. and his wife subsequently acknowledged that Kremlev hosted two nights of celebrations following their ceremony. They described the spending as a generous wedding gift from a close friend.
