The left has so much hate for President Trump, it is disturbing.
Javier Barajas, the owner of the Mexican-Italian restaurant II Toro e La Capra in Las Vegas, has found himself at the center of controversy after hosting former President Donald Trump for a press conference on his “No Taxes on Tips” policy. Despite calls for a boycott and criticism from some quarters, Barajas remains steadfast in his support for Trump and his policies.
“I was honored to have President Trump at my restaurant,” Barajas shared in an interview with “Fox & Friends First” on Thursday. “While I’ve received a significant amount of negative feedback through phone calls and social media platforms like TikTok, I’ve also seen a lot of positive responses.” Barajas emphasized his commitment to Trump’s vision and his policies, particularly those related to immigration and the economy.
Barajas expressed his confidence in Trump’s approach, stating that he believes Trump’s policies are better suited to support hardworking Americans, including the Hispanic community. “We support President Trump because he’s committed to improving the conditions for hardworking individuals in our country,” Barajas explained. He also criticized the current administration’s handling of immigration, specifically noting President Biden’s decision to open the borders without adequate checks on criminal backgrounds.
Reflecting on past administrations, Barajas recalled that President Obama’s promises to support working-class individuals were not fulfilled. “In 2008, President Obama made many promises to the working class, but his administration fell short,” Barajas noted.
Barajas also underscored his concerns about the current economic climate under President Biden. “Everything is very expensive now,” he said. “President Trump, with his background as a businessman, understands the economy and I believe he will do a much better job for us.”
In addition to II Toro e La Capra, Barajas’s family operates Lindo Michoacan, a chain of Mexican restaurants in the area. Notably, President Biden visited one of these locations in July before announcing his decision to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race.
