Biden-Kamala Leave Americans With Nothing

This is absolutely pathetic.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas sparked significant backlash after revealing that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) lacks sufficient funds to support Americans during the remainder of this hurricane season. His remarks came as he flew aboard Air Force One to assess the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, which has severely impacted parts of South and North Carolina.

In a press briefing, Mayorkas stated, “We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have,” but admitted, “FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season.” This alarming admission has raised questions about the priorities of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), particularly as it has allocated approximately $640.9 million this year to assist state and local governments dealing with the influx of asylum seekers.

Critics, including Texas Governor Greg Abbott, were quick to respond. Abbott called on Mayorkas and FEMA to immediately halt expenditures on illegal immigration initiatives and redirect those resources to help American communities affected by the hurricanes. “Put Americans first,” he tweeted, emphasizing the need to prioritize U.S. citizens over non-citizen support.

The Biden administration’s focus on immigration has drawn scrutiny, especially in light of the fact that DHS spent about $780 million last year on programs specifically designed for migrants. Meanwhile, only a meager $4 million has been distributed to individuals affected by Hurricane Helene, which has resulted in tragic loss of life and extensive property damage across multiple states.

During a briefing on Hurricane Helene, President Biden acknowledged the substantial financial burden the storm has placed on affected communities, stating, “It’s going to cost billions of dollars.” Yet, this has done little to quell the anger from congressional Republicans, who criticize the administration’s allocation of FEMA funds.

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-Tenn.) condemned the spending on migrant support while American citizens struggle, calling it “treasonous.” Others, like Rep. Eli Crane (R-Ariz.), echoed his sentiments, pointing out that over $1 billion has been funneled into services for illegal aliens.

The reality is stark: as FEMA faces potential funding shortages for disaster relief, the Biden administration’s choices raise serious concerns about its commitment to protecting American lives and communities. It is imperative that we demand a shift in priorities—one that puts American citizens at the forefront of government assistance during times of crisis.
