It was only a matter of time.
Former U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., who is a very close ally to President Biden, recently confessed that President Biden might not be running for office in 2024 and people on both sides of the political spectrum are shocked!
According to Newsmax, Dodd, who was a key player in selecting Biden’s 2020 running mate, told the New York Times the Biden may not pursue a run for 2024.
He also claimed that Kamala Harris could take the lead.
“I’m hoping the president runs for reelection,” Dodd said, “but for whatever reason that might not be the case, it’s hard to believe there would be a short list without Kamala’s name on it. She’s the vice president of the United States.”
Maggie Haberman who works for the New York Times was shocked by the stunning revelation. “Dodd quote in here is pretty stunning to hear. Usually this kind of thing isn’t said out loud.”
In the past, Biden claimed that he would had full intentions to run in 2024. However, President Biden has had a less than optimal presidency since taking office due to repeated economic and leadership issues.
Here is Biden in March saying he fully intends to run intends to run again in 2024:
