In a stunning turn of events, it now appears that President Biden and the Democrats had away hidden a piece of legislation into the already passed infrastructure bill that would force all automakers of new cars to install a “kill switch.”
This can give law enforcement the ability to stop cars immediately and as they desire to prevent lethal police chases in the future.
According to Motorius, the new information was brought to light by former U.S. Representative Bob Barr. Now the federal government could force all future cars, trucks, and SUVs in America to be remotely shut off as desired by police. This new regulation will likely not be enforced in the next five years and there is still time for them to change to rules but it is unclear if they will.
This new information has sparked controversy for many Americans who believe that while it is a good idea to prevent criminals from getting away from police. It could easily be abused by government if they choose to do so.
Barr further explained that the bill which President Biden signed into law, claims that the kill switch, which is being touted as a safety device, must “passively monitor the performance of a driver of a motor vehicle to accurately identify whether that driver may be impaired.”
This could mean that the vehicle could monitor your driving and if the vehicle believes that you are impaired, it will shut itself off.
