Here’s what he had to say…
President Biden’s top U.S. military officer Gen. Mark Milley has finally spoken out after a bombshell report surfaced suggesting that Milley committed treason by going behind then-President Donald Trump’s back and told Chinese military leaders that Trump was not planning any form of attack.
According to Fox News, after hiding from the media for several days, Gen. Milley finally broke his silence and said such calls are “routine” and were done “to reassure both allies and adversaries in this case in order to ensure strategic stability.”
Trump said that if reports were true and if Milley did give secrets away to Chinese military leaders it be treason in the highest form.
Milley essentially told Gen. Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army that he would warn them if Trump was planning on carrying out an attack.
Milley said he would not go into depth about the rumors until he speaks to Congress and testifies in late September.
“I think it’s best that I reserve my comments on the record until I do that in front of the lawmakers who have the lawful responsibility to oversee the U.S. military,” Milley stated. “I’ll go into any level of detail Congress wants to go into in a couple of weeks.”
