It is now known that one of President Biden’s staffers, who was in direct contact with him on multiple occasions, has just tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the Gateway Pundit, the staffer who was fully vaccinated and boosted was in contact with Biden for up to 30 minutes while on Air Force One during a recent flight. Since learning about the infected staffer, President Biden was tested and the results were negative on Monday. Biden is expected to be retested several times throughout the week.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki stated, “This staff member is fully vaccinated and boosted, and tested negative prior to boarding Air Force One, as is required for everyone traveling with the President. This staff member did not begin to experience symptoms until Sunday, and was tested on Monday.”
“The President is tested on a regular basis. As part of that regular testing, the President received an antigen test Sunday, and tested negative,” Psaki continued. “This morning, after being notified of the staffer’s positive test, the President received a PCR test and tested negative. He will be tested again on Wednesday.”
